About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leading construction product manufacturer, is seeking a Project Engineer to support Capital improvement project.
Role Overview:
The Project Engineer manages all technical aspects of manufacturing and engineering projects from concept through completion. Responsibilities include planning, design coordination, stakeholder communication, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. This position requires up to 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, cost estimates, and resource strategies. Prepare or review technical designs, calculations, and specifications to meet project requirements.
- Coordination & Communication: Collaborate with management, contractors, and cross-functional teams to deliver updates, resolve challenges, and maintain alignment on objectives.
- Budget & Schedule Oversight: Monitor progress against budgets and timelines, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Field Implementation: Conduct site visits to oversee construction and manufacturing activities, ensure safety compliance, and troubleshoot technical issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Industrial, or mechanical engineering
- PMP certification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of supporting $1 Million+ capital projects.
- Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude; experience with machinery design preferred.
- Proficiency in interpreting standard engineering documentation.
- Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate, share ideas, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
