District Sales Manager - Southeast
Our client, a leading construction material manufacturer, is seeking a talented manager for their Southeast US market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership, Management & Accountabilities
Maintain the right people in the right seats within the department team, including talent acquisition.
Provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to department team members to develop them to their fullest potential.
Sales Results
Recommend strategic sales plans to meet company sales and production goals.
Drive the sale of products in the designated region, while maintaining established gross profit margins.
Directs sales forecasting activities & sets performance goals accordingly, monitoring results and adjusting strategies as required.
Monitor & evaluate the activities & products of the competition in the assigned region.
Meet with key clients, deliver presentations, and assist sales representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiating & closing deals.
Support the successful implementation of new products and programs through the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch.
Sales Team
Deploy sales personnel in an optimal structure, making recommendations for changes as needed.
Assign sales force equitable quotas to ensure the firm’s financial objectives met.
Work with sales staff to make sure that we are excelling at meeting the customer’s needs & helping to resolve customer issues as needed.
Work with Vice President of Sales to assign & re-align sales territories as needed in the region.
Support the sales force training plan focused on developing and reinforcing critical sales competencies, including objectives for selling, sales management, and sales support roles.
Cross-Training & Development
Focus on cross-training, continuous learning and improvement. Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in business or marketing with a minimum of seven years of experience in sales
management.
Proven closing abilities with the ability to work in a high-pressure, constantly-changing
environment.
Well-developed presentation skills & excellent customer relation skills.
Strong influencing skills with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of
the organization.
Financial acumen with the ability to understand P&L and profitable sales margins.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data/facts to support valid conclusions and sound recommendations.
Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office.
Professional demeanor and presence with the ability to speak and make effective presentations to
customers and other groups.
Flexible to travel up to 70% of the time.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
