Our client, a capital equipment distributor, seeks a skilled Technical Sales Representative for their Indy office. In this role, you will focus on generating new business opportunities in North America while maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers. The role involves showcasing the company’s innovative solutions and products. This position is based in the Indianapolis office and does not offer a work-from-home option. The job requires you to be present at the office daily and includes travel (less than 10-15%) within the USA, primarily covering the Mid-West and East Coast regions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Generation: Create new business opportunities and cultivate existing relationships to expand sales in North America.
  • Technical Sales Presentations: Conduct impactful sales presentations and product demonstrations, explaining complex technical information and addressing customer needs effectively.
  • Lead Engagement: Utilize traditional research, phone outreach, and email campaigns to engage potential customers and generate new leads.
  • Travel: Travel within the USA, primarily covering the Mid-West and East Coast regions, to meet with clients and attend trade shows.
  • Sales Process Management: Collaborate with sales teams to manage the complete sales process, from initial contact to closing deals.
  • Sales Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, reporting to management on sales progress and customer interactions.
  • Client Visits: Visit existing clients' fabric cutting rooms to gain insights into their operations and challenges and to build stronger relationships.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to effectively position company products.
